Shadows and Light assignment

The picture below is my best photo of shadows and light. It's a picture of my driveway, and the shadows are the trees on either side. With this assignment, I learned how to use not only light, but dark (shadow) to make a picture contrast better.

Gimp Portrait

For this assignment, I had to take a picture of someone using the studio lights, and the other by using window light. I learned how to take better photos of people with different light.

Nature Assignment

The photo below is my best picture for nature, and it is a photo of a line of trees in the woods. From this assignment, I learned how to capture different aspects of nature. Below my top picture, I have a small slide show of other pictures that I took.

The picture below is my best picture of nature. It is a pine tree branch with snow on it. From this assignment I learned how to find photos that are better seen in black and white.

Gimp Assignment #2

For this second Gimp assignment, I edited a picture of a car by changing the background, and doing some detailing. From this assignment, I learned how to edit photos even more than just changing the light and sharpness.

Animal Assignment

For my Animal assignment, the picture above is my #1. It is a picture of one of my dogs sitting. I took this at my house while she was out playing. I took this because it shows her after a lot of running, taking a little rest; which shows her personality... which is quiet and calm usually.

The slideshow below is a couple more pictures of my two dogs playing and running outside. I feel that these pictures show their personalities very well

Gimp Assignment #1

 For this assignment I had to use Gimp to do a 'Andy Warhol-style' picture. I just took a picture of myself and colored each square differently. From Gimp, I learned how do do these kind of photos, without just using Photobooth.
